Tuition and Registration
Tuition is based on enrollment. Not attendance.
Prince William String Academy offers open enrollment so you may register for classes at any time. If a student begins lessons in the middle of the month we will prorate for the number of lessons remaining before the beginning of the first full month. The first payment will be charged on the first day of lessons. All remaining payments will be charged on the 2nd day of the month thereafter.
The tuition fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. For your convenience we also offer automatic billing through our online payment processing portal. This is a proven safe, secure and convenient way to pay ongoing fees while enrolled at the school. Upon registering, you will be billed for the registration fee and for the number of lessons remaining in the month. Your credit card or debit card will then be billed on the second day of the month thereafter.
We have a late payment fee policy of $15 per student. If tuition payments are not received by the seventh day of the month it is considered late and the fee will automatically be applied, no exceptions. It is the students/parents responsibility to ensure we have been provided a valid credit/debit card information if enrolled in automatic billing.
Declined Payment Fee
There is a $30 fee for any returned checks, in addition to any additional bank charges we incur.
Prince William String Academy reserves the right to suspend or discontinue instruction of any student who is delinquent in fulfilling his/her financial obligations at any time.
Prince William String Academy reserves the right to dismiss any student due to frequent absences, disciplinary problems, overdue tuition payments and/or parental noncompliance with Prince William String Academy policies.
Insufficient Class Enrollment/Cancellation
If any class has insufficient enrollment Prince William String Academy reserves the right to cancel the course or to offer the class with an adjusted tuition rate, length and/or number of class meetings.
Students arriving late will not have their lesson time extended.
Student Absence and Make-Up Lessons
Lessons canceled by the student for any reason cannot be made up, nor will a tuition refund/credit be given. However, via the website, students can look for an open slot in their teacher’s schedule. We are also happy to help get you in touch with other students to see if a swap can occur.
There is no long-term contract. To discontinue lessons and suspend automatic charges please notify the front desk in writing one full month prior to the first of the month. Notice given to the instructor only (verbally or otherwise) and non-attendance does not constitute withdrawal from lessons. For example, if you plan to discontinue/suspend lessons in May, then we will need to receive your written notice by the first lesson in April. If no notice is given by the first lesson of the month before lessons are being discontinued/suspended, the student/parent will be responsible for the next full month’s tuition.
In the event of an instructor absence, the studio reserves the right to provide a qualified substitute or schedule a timely make-up session for lessons missed.
If the studio is closed due to inclement weather, students will be given make-up lessons.
To ensure your child’s safety, children under the age of 7 will not be allowed to wait in the reception area unattended. It is expected that everyone wait quietly as to not disturb ongoing lessons. Please do not drop off students more than 10 minutes prior to lesson time and pick them up promptly. Prince William String Academy faculty and staff do not supervise children waiting in the reception area before and/or after classes/lessons.
Any photographs, audio or videos of students or families on Prince William String Academy facilities and/or events may be used in promotional publications, website or press releases. There will be no compensation for the release.
